“Oh Shit. This guy might actually hold me to it.”
“I might get harassed if I don’t get this done tomorrow.”
Those where my thoughts yesterday when I told someone I will start my website and my blog tomorrow.
Let me tell you….I had to get the site up and something written. There was no way I was going to give this guy the pleasure of saying “I didn’t think you’d get it done anyway.” So what did I do?
I added: set up website and start a blog to my “Got-R Done” list.
Most people have a list like this but call it a ”to do” list. I prefer Got-R Done because it’s my list of things I get done by the deadline I set. I do this without question. On a daily basis.
This list of mine is short and sweet. Only absolutely, postitively, must get done items are allowed on this list. Only actions that really affect my success are allowed on this list. Things like clean the house and return the phone call to my mother DO NOT go on this list.
What goes on this list?
Here is what my ”Got-R Done” list looks like for tomorrow:
- Finish and email sales letter to the business association members
- Lift weights and run 5 miles
- Design newspaper ad and send in
These are the 3 things that I WILL DO tomorrow without question. I don’t care if the phone is ringing off the hook. I don’t care if my email inbox is full of “emergencies”. I will not let any so called fire that needs putting out get in my way of getting these 3 things done tomorrow.
Start your list with 1 item. Put the 1 thing on there that you can do tomorrow that is the most important thing you can think of to get you closer to achieving your goal. And by all means GIT-R Done. Just do it.
Don’t stop there. Do this daily. Create the habit. I have. It’s like an addiction. I love the feeling of crossing those three things off my list. I love knowing that I’ve done the most important things I could think of to get me closer to my goals.
It makes for a great day:-)

The site looks fantastic, I’m glad you got something up! Now all you have to do is keep updating it(that’s the hard part!).

YOUR POSTINGS GOT ME THINKING IF I COULD LIST 3 THINGS TO DO EVERY DAY,THE 1ST ONE WAS TO WALK 3 MILES ITS BEEN YEARS SINCE I RAN THAT FAR I ENDED UP WALK-RUNNING 5 MILES. THE 2ND THING WAS TO SPEND TIME HELPING FRIENDS THAT WAS REALLY PRETTY EASY I HAVE FRIENDS THAT ARE GREAT TO BE WITH IF YOUR WORKING HARD OR JUST CHILLING OUT.#3 WAS PRETTY GENERAL SO I KIND OF DID IT BUT NOT REALLY SO IM NOT GOING TO TALK ABOUT IT. I DONT KNOW IF I CAN DO 3 THNGS A DAY BUT I’LL TRY TO KEEP WALKING AND SEE IF I CAN RUN 5 MILES ONCE IT WARMS UP.
